The specific path of bhakti we practice is called raganuga bhakti because its only focus is on loving Krishna, having a personal relationship with Him like Gop Kumar wanted. That's what we desire on the path of raganuga bhakti. We don't ask Him for anything except His vision and His love. And we desire to serve Him and take part in His leelas.
Now that you've understood about what this path is, we're going to spend a few minutes practicing. I just explained roopdhyan to you. We're going to sing a chant now that describes Radharani. Radha is also one with Krishna and is Krishna's female form. This chant is written by Jagadguru Shree Kripalu Ji Maharaj and it describes many details about what Radha looks like. This is helpful because when we want to form that image and do roopdhyan, the mind needs something specific to think about. This chant provides those specifics.
As we chant, let's try to actually visualize the specifics being described and feel that we're seeing real Radha in front of us. You can open your eyes, read the meaning and then close your eyes and try to imagine according to what we're singing. This will give you some practice in doing roopdhyan and this is the practice that we're meant to incorporate into our daily life. Meaning we're meant to sit and practice this every day for some time.
My Radha Rani is the ocean of Divine beauty.
A shining jewel-studded golden crown is adorning Radha Rani's head.
Her chandrika and its pearl chain are sparkling.
Radha Rani is decorated with a red bindi on Her forehead and She is wearing ear pendants.
Her eyes are decorated with collyrium and She has a very innocent look.
Her nose ring and besar are shining and She has a sweet smile on Her face.
She is wearing shining bangles and rings on Her hands. Her palms are decorated with mehndi
She is wearing a beautiful blue blouse. She is wearing necklaces of pearls.
She is wearing gold waistband and anklets and She is wearing delicate cute rings on Her toes.
The toenails of Her lotus feet are like ten shining jewels. Her lotus feet are decorated with mahavar.
Kripalu Mahaprabhuji says that even Manmohan Krishn, the one who entices everyone's heart is enticed by the beauty of Radha Rani.
