We never stop to reflect on the nature of the world

Shushree Diwakari Didi

We never stop to reflect on the nature of the world as being a peculiar form of play acting. Our condition is like that insane man who swallows dirt and keeps throwing it up again and again. Endless lifetimes have passed and yet and still we proudly proclaim that we are wise and not ignorant.

If we behave like this and take exception to being called a fool or ignorant, we must know that birds and animals are far better than us. They come into season once in a year while us humans, we engage and indulge our five physical senses in the world, each one, countless times.

This disease is worsening. It's getting worse day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year and still we have not come to our senses. How ironic we call ourselves intelligent. So who will explain all of this ignorance of ours? Who? God will not come to our rescue even though God is omnipresent.

He is formless, all-pervading and even if He were to manifest before us as Shri Krishna, Shri Ram, we would not first of all be able to recognize Them, that's one thing. And for the other, we would hurl abuse and make slanderous remarks.

This is... You mean to say this is Sri Krishna? Really? He has no moral character and is always running after girls. That's what we would say.

Look at Bhagavan Ram. Look at him. He's wailing. He's wailing for his wife, asking the creepers and trees and plants for her whereabouts.

The point is that we have to understand and examine the nature and the extent of our ignorance as a prelude to our search for happiness and try to receive and comprehend correct knowledge to overcome these ignorances. And only a God-realized personality, a saint, can help us overcome this eternal illusion that we are under.
